Description:	Thick book with cardboard cover bound in white varnished leather. The spine is partly ripped off. The layers are bound together with a thread, part severely damaged. Title on the front cover. Index on fol. 1r-3v; fol. 1 damaged on the edge, which makes some of the folio numbers given in the index on fol. 1v invisible. The tabulatures start on fol. 3v. Folio numbers are written in the left upper corner on the verso side by GD, beginning with the number "1" on fol. 3v, so that the following numbers are 2 behind the actual counting. Number "66" is left out, so that from the actual fol. 68 the numbers are only 1 behind. The tabulatures are written by several different hands on different kinds of paper, often divided by empty pages or even title pages. The volume has been bound together from several smaller issues (fol. 3-8, 9-14, 15-20, 21-22, 23-48, 49-70, 71-78, 79-86, 87-92, 93-96, 97-100, 101-104, 105-110, 111-116, 117-136, 137-140, 141-146 and 147-162 can be seen as issues). One of the original empty pages at the border of two issues GD has used to fill in Schütz's "Erbarm dich mein o Herre Gott" (found on fol. 48v-49r and the last row on fol. 52v-53r) after the compilation. After the last tabulature (copied by GD) the inscription "Laus Deo et/ Gloria se[m]per/ Finis./ Coronat. opus.// 1666. d. 20. feb" is found (fol. 162v). Besides this one and the date in the title the date 1664 is found two times in the volume (fol. 93r and 109v), both by GD's hand.
